| Imagine if you will,
another time of crisis erupts and your local law
enforcement is mustered to go door to door in your
neighborhood to seek out a criminal element (aka terrorists)
and to secure any weapons they deem fit to confiscate. |
| Were this to occur (as it did during
hurricane Katrina in New Orleans), and your local law enforcement were
members of the "Oath Keepers" organization, events may unfold a
bit different then you might think. |
|
|
| The "Oath Keepers" have
pledged to refuse any unlawful order given to them by their command. |
| If you are not aware of the organization
of "Oath Keepers" that was initiated in March 2009, before the
mainstream media distorts their actual cause, the following is a must read
to gain clear understanding of the mission and intent of the organization. |
| Oath Keepers is a non-partisan
association of currently serving military members, veterans, peace officers, and
firefighters who will fulfill the oath they swore to, by supporting and
defending the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. |
| If you have ever served your country as
a member of the military or as a civil servant,
the oath you took was to the Constitution of the United States, not to the
politicians. The members of Oath Keepers will not obey unconstitutional (and thus illegal)
and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to
place them under martial law and deprive them of their right to jury
trial. |
| The Las Vegas Review Journal has spun a
report that the organization may be "strident
defenders of liberty or dangerous peddlers of paranoia." |
| Stewart
Rhodes, the Founder of Oath Keepers was quoted by the Review
Journal that he is not preaching
violence or government overthrow, on the contrary, it is asking police and
the military to lay down their arms in response to unlawful orders. |
| The following is a list of orders that
can be found at the Oath Keepers' website. Members of the organization
intend to support the list if conflict should arise. |
| SUMMARY LIST OF ORDERS
WE WILL NOT OBEY: |
1. We will NOT obey orders to
disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the
American people
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as unlawful
enemy combatants or to subject them to military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a state of
emergency on a state.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that
asserts its sovereignty.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus
turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any
form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any
foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to keep
the peace or to maintain control.
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the
American people, including food and other essential supplies.
10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the
